Here's a photo from sessions I did with my friend/collaborator Timon Martin when we were working with a torrent of snowfall outside the window in New York. My favorite memory is writing for this album in the midst of one of New York's heaviest blizzards. I started a tonne of new music and brought in friends I'd made in New York to work with me at home.
It is here that I started to formulate a palette with which to create the next body of work.Īlthough I've been writing pretty constantly for the last couple of years, I began officially knuckling down in January 2016 for this new album. Feels so good to dedicate a space to producing/writing and making music. Since releasing The Golden Echo I've moved to New York (from Los Angeles) and set myself up a home studio! It's my happy place/spaceship.
I feel like its the record I've been waiting and wanting to write for so long. I wanted you, my fans, to be the first to know this before anyone else! I'm so excited to start soon sharing moments from it with you. The title of the record will be : PRIMAL HEART I look forward to sharing things here with you to bring you closer to the music & the process.Īnd I know it's been WAY too long since I put out new music out so don't worry, I'm about to change that )Īre you ready?
